Nikki to play a Tamil belle in Major Ravi’s war drama

Director Major Ravi is apparently pushing the envelope in terms of extending the reach of Malayalam cinema. His upcoming war drama 1971: Beyond Borders already has superstar Mohanlal, Tollywood actor Allu Sirish and Bollywood star Arunoday Singh on board, and the latest we hear is that Nikki Galrani has been finalised in a pivotal role in the movie. The director tells us, “Nikki will play Allu Sirish’s love interest and is a Tamil girl in the movie. Most of her portions will be shot in the January schedule in Pollachi.”Interestingly, Nikki seems to be the first choice among actresses when it comes to actors making their Mollywood debut; she recently teamed up with Sreesanth for his feature film debut Team 5. However, the actress tells us that she is yet to sign the dotted line for Major Ravi’s film but is in an advanced stage of discussions.”I am busy with five Tamil projects, but when I heard it’s a Lalettan movie and Sirish’s debut in Malayalam, I told them we will talk about it and see where it goes,” says Nikki. The actress is currently shooting for Tamil films Neruppu Da with Vikram Prabhu, Kee with Jiiva and Hara Hara Mahadevaki with Gautham Karthik.
